Infant
We were thrilled to add an infant age group to our centre in 2023. We can now take children as young as 15 months into a bright and cozy space!
Preschool
Our goals for the Preschool Program are to create a desire for the child to want to learn, to develop a positive attitude toward teachers and others, to develop the ability to work and play with others, to develop an awareness of people outside the family and neighbourhood, and to arouse interest in reading, writing, art and learning in general.
Our objective is to promote the early growth and development of each preschool child, according to their potential. The program will cover physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development, motor skills, creativity and the development of self-help skills. Our program is based on the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework (English) for Early Learning and Child Care. A Designated Facility
GBC Early Learning Centre is a service operated by Gunningsville Baptist Church and licensed and designated through the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Flexible Programming
We offer full time preschool for ages 15 months to 5 years and full time and part time Afterschool (age 5-12).
Additionally, we offer a Morning Preschool Program (age 3-5) that runs from September to June. This programs only operates when our school age group is at school and the space is available. Children must be potty trained to take part in this program.
Educational Philosophy
Our daily program is based on the philosophy that children learn developmental concepts and skills through creative and structured play, whole group learning, and physical activity. This service provides loving care, guidance and protection to children outside the home for a major part of the day.
Service is provided in English.
